Renee Roetheli, an enthusiast professional photographer from New Haven, recently received two awards in the 2022 Focus on Missouri Farming image contest sponsored by the Missouri Department of Agriculture.Roetheili was called runner-up in the Faces of the Farm category with her image,”Practice and Sweat. “She likewise received respectable reference in the Beauty of the Farm classification with her photo,”Early Bird Gets the Worm.”Judges Jason Jenkins, Julie Harker and Macy Hurst chose 21 pictures for recognition. Teresa Parson selected one photo to receive the” special award “of First Family’s Choice.Roetheli stated she has no formal training, just a love for agriculture photography.”My favorite thing to picture is cattle and the farm life,” stated Roetheli, who with her household has raised five generations of cattle.”I like to showcase agriculture and the animals and individuals behind it.”
Megan Richner, of El Dorado Springs, won Finest in Program, with her picture, “The Supervisor,”which reveals a cow keeping a close eye on a Missouri livestock farmer as he tends to a newborn calf. The acclaimed pictures willbe on display in the Agriculture Structure throughout the Missouri State Fair, Aug. 11-21, in Sedalia.
