DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am scaling down and moving and have needed to quit my passion– black-and-white photography. I have actually offered some items, but still have much and time is running out. I have nearly whatever a film-based professional photographer would require, from electronic camera to developing gear to enlarger for printmaking. The devices remains in fine condition and works like a beauty. I am willing to provide everything to a person who truly is wanting to start a business, so to speak. They need to call me via email at [email safeguarded], prior to May 26. The thought of bringing all this to the transfer station or Goodwill is disturbing.– Cindy, no town
ANSWER: Wow. This is a generous deal. I make certain somebody would enjoy to have this devices.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: I was wondering if maybe some of your Sun Areas readers or you may be able to tell me how to prepare chicken so it is not so dry. Every time I prepare chicken, it comes out really dry. Any aid will be appreciated.– No name, no town
RESPONSE: Oh, dear. The internet is chock filled with dishes and videos on how to prepare tender chicken. A peek revealed simple directions such as finishing the chicken with olive oil to more complex techniques such as slicing the chicken thinly using a “butterfly” cut. This involves slicing the breast open lengthwise as if to pack it. Keep the halves connected. Slice each side again and you have a thin butterfly-shaped piece of chicken that you can cook to perfection, two minutes on each side. A thing I like to do is to slice the breast open and spread out a thin layer of mayonnaise or vegan mayo on each side, then bake or grill. The within will cook faster and the meat will be juicy. Readers, please compose in with your ideas and/or dishes!
DEAR SUN SPOTS: We are missing our favorite Asian fusion restaurant, Ann Chun/Jasmine Cafe, which was located in the TJ Maxx Plaza on Center Street. They closed this area recently and the owner stated they will continue to run from their food truck in Turner. Can anyone validate this and supply their existing location, telephone, hours, and so on? We would significantly appreciate it. — No name, Auburn
RESPONSE: According to Jasmine Mobile’s Facebook page, the food truck across from the Hannaford supermarket on Route 4 in Turner opened Saturday, May 14, for the season. The hours are Tuesday through Friday from 3 to 8 p.m., and Saturday from noon to 8 p.m. The phone number is 207-713-5952. When I called the number, I got a message saying that number was not accepting messages today.
